1. Scope and roles
This Policy explains how LawVriksh handles personal data when you visit our site, join a waitlist, contact us, create an account, pay for a plan, or use our legal-work platform. The platform lets legal professionals upload matter documents, search and review them, extract facts and chronology, ask questions, and prepare drafts and other work product.
For account, billing, website, support, and marketing information, LawVriksh determines why and how the information is used. For client and matter information uploaded by a firm, chamber, or other customer, that customer generally decides which data to upload and how to use the results, and LawVriksh processes the data to provide the Service under its instructions and our agreement. The customer's own privacy duties to its clients and other people still apply. If your information appears in a matter file uploaded by one of our customers, contact that customer first for requests about that file; you may also contact us and we will help route the request where appropriate.
2. Information we collect

We may receive professional and account information from an organisation administrator who invites you, from a payment provider, or from a third-party sign-in provider if you choose that method.
3. Why we use it
We use information to provide and secure accounts and matter workspaces; store and process uploaded documents; perform OCR, search, extraction, chronology, AI assistance, and drafting requested by users; administer plans, credits, payments, and invoices; answer support and privacy requests; detect misuse and troubleshoot errors; understand and improve the Service through analytics and feedback; send operational notices; and meet legal, tax, and record-keeping duties. We send promotional messages where permitted and provide an opt-out.
Where applicable law requires consent or another specific legal basis for a use, we will obtain or rely on that basis. You can withdraw consent for an optional use through the relevant setting or by contacting us, subject to processing already lawfully performed and any continuing legal obligations. Our customers are responsible for establishing an appropriate basis to upload information about clients and other people.
4. AI processing and service providers
When you use AI features, relevant prompts, document text, extracted facts, and matter context may be transmitted to external AI providers through their APIs so they can generate the requested response. This is part of providing the current AI features. Those providers may process the information outside India.
We also use service providers for hosting and storage, document processing, payments, communications, analytics, and security. They may access the information needed to perform their tasks under appropriate contractual and security controls. Payment processing may be handled by Razorpay; website analytics code supports Google Analytics and PostHog. We do not sell client case files or personal data to data brokers. We may disclose information if legally required, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a corporate transaction with appropriate notice and protections.
5. Where information is processed
The location of storage and processing depends on our hosting, AI, payment, communications, and analytics providers. Some providers may process information outside India. Where information is transferred, we will apply measures required by applicable law and our provider agreements.
6. Security and confidentiality
We use access controls and other technical and organisational measures intended to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. Only people and service providers with a need for the permitted purposes should have access. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Please protect your credentials, use appropriate workspace permissions, and report suspected unauthorised access to support@lawvriksh.com. We will investigate and notify affected people or authorities when required by law.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, for the customer's instructions, or for legal, tax, security, and dispute obligations. Account and matter data are generally retained while the account is active. We will process an account deletion request sent to support@lawvriksh.com after verifying authority and explaining any consequences for organisation users and shared matters. Deletion may occur in stages across active systems and backups; some records may remain where law requires.
If you are an organisation user, its administrator may control workspace access and may need to authorise deletion of shared matter content. Cancellation of a paid plan does not itself request account or document deletion.
8. Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct, update, or erase your personal data, withdraw optional consent, object to or opt out of marketing where applicable, or raise a grievance by contacting contact@lawvriksh.com or support@lawvriksh.com. We may verify your identity and authority before acting. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. Some requests may be limited by another person's rights, the customer's instructions, or a legal duty to retain records. If a customer controls information in a matter file, we will direct the request to that customer or assist it as appropriate.
You can stop promotional email using its unsubscribe link or by writing to us. Operational notices about your account or purchases may still be sent. You can change your optional analytics choice through “Cookie choices” in the website footer. You can also control cookies through your browser; blocking some cookies may affect website functions.
9. Cookies and analytics
Our website and Service may use cookies or similar technologies for sign-in, security, and preferences. These essential technologies support core functions. If you accept optional analytics, Google Analytics and PostHog help us understand visits and interactions with the website. They can collect device and usage information, page views, and interaction events. You can reject optional analytics or change your choice through “Cookie choices” in the website footer. We do not intentionally send uploaded case documents to website analytics tools.
10. Children, changes, and contact
The Service is intended for legal professionals and organisations, not for children to create accounts. Customer Content may nevertheless contain information about children in legal matters; customers should upload it only where authorised and necessary.
We may update this Policy and will show the effective date. We will notify account holders of material changes through the Service or email when appropriate. Changes to processing that require consent will be handled as required by law.
